Introduction

This course offered by TMIS in collaboration with Southern Cross University was established in close consultation with the tourism industry to provide a strong focus on management skills in a variety of tourism-related fields. It places considerable emphasis on workplace experience and involves practicum work in the final semester of study.

The main emphasis of the course is to give students the best possible preparation for a successful career in tourism and hospitality management. Graduates will be suited to employment as professional managers and supervisors in tourism facilities such as hotels, clubs, resorts, motels, restaurants, entertainment facilities, convention and event management organisations, private corporations and Government bodies.

Formal Assessment
The assessment is based on progressive assignments and examination. Full details of assignments are contained in the study materials for each unit.

Programme Duration
  • Bachelor of Business in Tourism Management (24 modules): 864 training hours (24 months)
  • Bachelor of Business in Tourism Management (16 modules): 576 training hours (16 months)

- A Bachelor Degree (The medium of education must be in English)
