Introduction

Certificate in Advanced English for Young Tourism Professionals is a programme students can rely on to cover the complete range and depth of language and skills needed to communicate effectively and confi dently especially in the tourism or hospitality industries.

It consists of three levels: English Elementary (Level 1), English Intermediate (Level 2) and English Advanced (Level 3). Each level is designed to provide at least 240 hours of class interaction.

Learners are introduced to English grammar and vocabulary through the four core competencies in speaking, listening, writing and reading which are conceptualised within a thematic interactive approach framework and this forms the structure of the course as shown below.

Certification

Students will progress to the next level upon passing the Final Assessment of each level. On successful completion and passing of the advanced level, the Certifi cate in Advanced English for Young Tourism Professionals will be awarded by TMIS.

English Language Requirements:

The English Entrance Test may be waived for applicants who offer the following:

- A Bachelor Degree (The medium of education must be in English)
