Programme Introduction
This programme is designed to prepare individuals to enter a career in the travel and tourism sectors. Participants will acquire an operational focus in travel, tourism and attractions. In addition, the highlight on sustainability and digitalisation will develop future-ready skills for the tourism industry.
This programme includes field trips and practical training. Graduates are prepared for careers in the travel and tourism sectors such as travel agencies, tourism organisations, attractions and events companies.

- To deepen understanding about the travel and tourism industry; how it is organised, and how tourism influences communities, societies, and globally.
- To acquire the knowledge and skills which are necessary in the travel and tourism industry.
- To benefit from endless opportunities of wide range jobs in the tourism industry.

Assessment
Each module is assessed by academic work comprising written assignments, case study reports, essays, examination as determined by the subject profile. The assessment criterion varies from module to module and level to level.
Graduation Requirements
- Must passed all modules
- Must achieve an overall attendance of 90% (International Student) and 75% (Local Student)
Age:
- 16 years old (for countries with 9 years of primary and secondary education)
Language:
- G.C.E. ‘O’ Level Pass at D7 or equivalent, or
- IELTS 4.0 or equivalent, or
- Pass the English Placement Test conducted by TMIS or
- Pass the BETEDP (Elementary) level of ETEDP by EAIM.
Academic:
- 1 G.C.E. ‘O’ Level Pass at D7 or equivalent, or
- Completed 10 years of formal education (or completed 9 years of formal education for students from China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia and South Korea), or
- NITEC / Higher NITEC qualifications, or
- Mature candidate (≥ 25 years old with 3 years of relevant work experience), or
- At least 1 GCSE Level Pass at Level 4

The curriculum is taught over 4 terms of 12 weeks each. Modules are conducted in formal instructor-led classrooms sessions. Each term will cover 3 modules with 6 contact hours per module; Lecture is a 3-hour session and Tutorial is a 3-hour session per week.
